Virtual keyboard for Android mobile devices based on Braille writing system for people who has visual problems.

* User Manual

* Installation

The application is installed on the mobile device with the APK file.
The "ASB Braille Keyboard" must be activated in the "Language and Input" tab of the device settings, in the "Virtual Keyboard" tab, in the "Manage keyboards" section.
(User interface may differ from device to device)
When any text area is focused, press the "Choose input method" key (usually appears on the right or left corner of the screen when the keyboard is opened) and select the "ASB Braille Keyboard" option and it can be used as the default virtual keyboard.

* Usage

While the keyboard is in use, the desired text must be specified in accordance with the Braille writing system.
The keyboard divides the phone screen into 6 sections as 3 rows and 2 columns as a full screen.
These sections are represented by the numbers 1, 2, 3 from top left to bottom left and 4, 5, 6 from top right to bottom right, as in the Braille writing system.
The process of specifying the Braille sign of the character to be typed on the keyboard is called "portrayal".
In order to make a portray on the keyboard, the areas on the screen must be touched one by one, corresponding to the raised dots in the Braille sign of the character to be used within a certain period of time.
It doesn't matter in what order the raised dots of the character to be used are touched on the screen. These points do not need to be touched with perfect accuracy.
At a certain level, the keyboard will compensate the error and predict the correct character.
After a single touch and release on any section of the keyboard, the keyboard timer starts counting down from a specified time. (This time can be changed in the options screen)
Until this timer expires, all the touched points will belong to the same braille character.
During this time, the portrayal of the desired Braille character is completed, and when the timer expires, the keyboard returns voice and vibration feedback for the entered character. (Voice and vibration feedback can be turned off in the settings screen.)
In order to use some characters on the keyboard, indicators should also be used as in the Braille writing system. Like the number indicator before typing the number, the capital letter indicator before capitalization...

While the keyboard is open on the screen, different commands can be given by swipe gestures in 4 different directions:
Swipe up to enter.
Swipe right to space.
Swipe left to delete.
Swipe down to close (hide) keyboard.
Keyboard gives feedback with voice and vibration with each command.

In order to enter the options screen of the keyboard, a braille sign containing all the raised points (123456) must be entered.
When the options screen is open, the keyboard gives feedback with voice and vibration.
While in the options screen, sound and vibration can be turned on and off, and the writing delay can be adjusted.
Section number 1 turns off voice feedback.
Section number 4 turns on voice feedback.
Section number 2 reduces writing delay (to portrayal faster).
Section number 5 increases the writing delay (to portrayal slowly).
Section number 3 turns off vibrations.
Section number 6 turns on vibrations.
In order to exit the options screen of the keyboard, a braille sign containing all the raised points (123456) must be entered.
When the options screen is closed, the keyboard gives feedback with voice and vibration.
