At Null-Return IT Services & Consulting, one of our primary areas of focus is the internet of things and data rendering. The main services that we have come to utilize is a web dashboard provided by Initial State. With a wide range of API's to use with all kinds of edge devices, combined with useful data analysis and visual representations..Initial State offers an exceptional user experience for both beginners and advanced users.

Web dashboards are extremely useful, but you know what can sometimes be even more handy? A mobile app!

Over the past two months we decided to foray into mobile app development, mainly as a means of reducing the need to constantly log in to multiple browser-based dashboards...just to get a quick overview of some important sensor data.

Our solution? A mobile app that opens directly to an overview tab with sensor values for your home, which are fed by data streams set up by you using whatever edge devices you want! ESP32's, Raspberry Pi's, you name it! As long as you have data streams going to your Initial State dashboard, the app will be able to show them.

In addition to the quick Overview tab, there is also a tab for the detailed web dashboard that you probably spent so much time into customizing and making look awesome! Glance at the overview for a quick check-up, or use the Webdash to look at more detailed graph metrics and animations.

There is also a sideview tab for any additional online dashboards you may be using as well. We love using a ton of great products from Adafruit Industries, and their Adafruit IO dashboard also plays a role in many of our IoT projects...which is exactly why it is the default sideview page that gets rendered at app launch!

***IMPORTANT NOTES***

We prefer not to utilize any kind of ads for this app whatsoever :)

For right now, the 'Overview' tab has hard-coded feed name values in regards to the primary data it retrieves from your Initial State dashboard. The new release of this app now includes the ability to add two additional feeds to view in the app, which can be named whatever you want.

**The only thing that is locked is the name of the main feeds that the app retrieves, which are named as follows:

- LivingRoom-Temperature
- LivingRoom-Humidity
- Bedroom-Temperature
- Bedroom-Humidity

This means that your endpoints that your devices send to your dashboard need to have these names as well!

***Null-Return IT and this app are in no way affiliated with the Initial State dashboard service. We do however make no qualms about loving to use their service, and wanted to help expand its availability on additional platforms for others to use***
