Until this app is working at even a basic level, nobody with an iPhone should be buying an Unsit treadmill. The Unsit treadmill is a solid piece of equipment, but this app that connects to it might be worst piece of software I’ve used in 30 years of IT experience, and its essentially required to get any useful tracking data. It fails epically and consistently at its one mission critical job – keeping track of the number of steps you take. It consistently loses the Bluetooth connection to the treadmill, and reconnecting it resets the step count to zero. Walk away from the treadmill for 10 minutes and come back… You lose. It doesn’t properly record the number of steps taken in a day, and routinely in the history reports astronomically high daily step totals that don’t make any sense whatsoever. It never syncs anything to Apple Health… Heck, it can’t even remember the dark/light mode setting you choose in the app’s preferences between opening and closing the app. I question whether anyone tested this app AT ALL before uploading it to the app store. If the treadmill itself had any sort of useful display or tracking on the hardware, you could almost forgive the software flaws, but because the hardware has essentially zero user interface on it, the app is the sole way to get any sort of metrics about your walking time, speed or distance. Seriously, just get the basics down and get this thing fixed.
Significant Improvement

It’s not perfect, but this app is a huge improvement over the early version. I love the ability to keep the app open without the phone going to sleep. The old app would disconnect from the treadmill periodically and not count my steps. This version seems to maintain the connection throughout a session. Lastly, the interface is much clearer and easier to understand. Keep iterating and improving please!!!
Disappointing

We received an email saying there was a new app, which I was thrilled about because the old app was pretty bad. I deleted the old app as told, and I regret it deeply because this app is somehow WORSE. + + Sure, the UI looks nicer, but that is where the positives end. This app constantly disconnects from the treadmill if you don’t keep the screen on the app, resulting in the timer and step count stopping. Sometimes if you open up the app again, the step count will sync, but the time never will. I would be less concerned about the steps resetting if it actually synced with the Apple Health app, but it does not. When I first open the app, it will add some steps to Health, but after that, it will not sync again, so the thousands of steps done will be lost. This is frustrating because my work HSA reimbursements are linked to step counts, so the app is actually making me lose money. + + I wish they would just bring the old app, terrible as it was, back. At least that one was accurate and synced properly to the Health app.
It could be great

I really want this to work. Was psyched to see an update + + It counts steps now and connects to Apple health + + But o lg when the app is open in my phone. If I switch to any other app it stops the time and sometimes it keeps counting steps + + Pls fix this!
Sub-par

First off, love the unsit treadmill. However, this app is worse than the original, which I can no longer use because I got a new phone and the old app is no longer available. + + Folks, why do I need a login to use this app? + + I use the app for one reason, to track my steps accurately in Apple health while I am working while wearing an Apple Watch. The watch can’t count steps accurately while I’m typing. + + This app is harder to connect via Bluetooth—why is connection buried in a separate screen if every time I walk away from the treadmill I will need to manually reconnect? + + I have only had to use it for a couple days but it has totally thrown off my stats because it’s missing tons of steps. I average 12-15k per day with the old app, not getting anywhere near that with same usage patterns on this app, probably because it’s dropping the Bluetooth connection. + + Again, I love my treadmill and I like to track my steps. This app needs to be better.
