Instead, the save dialog box opens to the default save directory each time, and navigating to the proper save directory takes more time than simply removing additional, unwanted characters from a file extension. The most unfortunate part is, however, this functionality of opening the default download directory happens on any website you happen to download a file from, not just the sites that add additional characters to the extension.
