Serial Speed Reader Extension

This extension will display the selected text, word by word, so that you can read it without moving your eyeballs. Not for the faint of heart, but you may adjust the delay between words and the per letter delay to slow down the text display.

You may have to refresh the page when you first install this extension to get it working.

PLEASE report any bugs or problems. This is BETA but I would appreciate it that you do not treat it like a finished product until it's done. I will make improvements.

A unique icon is in the works, sorry about that!

Mark Kamoski (ID: 00000007dae357fb) Voted 3 ★ - Updated 12/20/2012 This has a lot of potential but it is right now not usable because there is no good way to set the wpm. But it is a good idea.

Cody Williams (ID: 000000afc1d4d236) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 10/19/2012 The per character delay makes a huge difference between this and other speed-reading extensions, allowing me to fly through articles like I didn't think possible. As close as I've come to downloading information straight into my brain.
