SlowDown Extension

Addictive websites (e.g., social media) use ideas from operant conditioning: every time you load a page or scroll, there's a small probability of being rewarded with interesting content, which keeps you coming back.

This simple extension breaks the connection between the action (loading the page or scrolling) and the reward (seeing the interesting content) by introducing a small delay to both on selected websites.

Note that the preferred way to scroll on a website throttled by this extension is to use the Page Up and Page Down keys.
