DatAnswers Chrome Local File Opener Extension

DatAnswers is an enterprise search engine that enables users to search the organization's Varonis-monitored file systems for the data they need, providing information governance for administrators, and compliance and legal officers. DatAnswers leverages the power and security of the Varonis classification engine to index a company's data and provide relevant search results.
The results displayed in the application contain UNC links to the files that match the search criteria. Chrome’s default behavior prevents users from opening files in UNC format (that is, file://FileServer/share/filename).
This extension enables authorized DatAnswers users to open files and folders in UNC format through the DatAnswers search engine. When a link is clicked, the extension verifies whether that link is valid and generated by DatAnswers and then opens it in a new browser tab.

Joe Ayeameye (ID: 000000d4c8ed58aa) Voted 1 ★ - Updated 04/23/2021 So Far, So Bad...I can't even find a way to upload the file from my LOCAL PC. This app can, per the Extensions setup page, " read and change all your data on websites you visit." NOT AT ALL WHAT I WANTED IT FOR - Worse than useless. Don't bother with this extension and you will be all the better for it.
