Unofficial Google Bookmarks Extension

Synchronise your bookmarks from Google Bookmarks into Chrome.

To use:
- Create a folder named \"Google Bookmarks\" under \"Bookmarks Bar\" (use Bookmark Manager.)
- Sign in to your Google account at any Google website.
- Wait a couple minutes or restart your Chrome.

If it doesn't seem to work, please visiting http://www.google.com/bookmarks/?output=xml&num=10000 to see if the plugin is able to access your bookmarks properly. The plugin accesses this page.

Labels on bookmarks are treated as path names in which the bookmark appear, using the colon character (\":\") as folder separator. For example: the label \"Development:Android\" will cause this path to be made in your bookmarks: \"Bookmarks Bar/Google Bookmarks/Development/Android\". Unlabeled bookmarks appear in the root \"Google Bookmarks\" folder.

Changes made to Google Bookmarks will be synchronised into Chrome every one minute.

Dave McAnulty (ID: 000000b5053dcf26) Voted 5 ★ - Updated 07/29/2021 This just saved my bacon, with Google Bookmarks shutting down I was able to use this to export my bookmarks into Chrome. Note: If you using a different character then : for your subfolders, you can go into Google Bookmarks "Label Manager" and change them there. You have to do it for each subfolder/label, but you can click "rename" in mass, then just go through with your tab key and right-arrow to get through them fast. Then just mass-spam save.

The only problem is that it doesn't take into account the tags, there are no subfolder. As it's a folder, you can't do any actions, I think you have to go directly to Google bookmarks to do anything, like renaming, deleting, etc... It's only a one-way sync.
