Keep on Application
Keep display or system awake for a given duration. It overrides temporarily the system power-saving settings.
Simple chrome packaged app allowing the user to prevent screen to turn off or system from going to sleep. It allows overriding system power-saving settings for a given duration (from 10 mn to infinite). When the app is closed, system power-saving settings are restored.
To note that it might not work yet on all system (dependant on chrome.power API implementation) but it has been tested successfully on a Mac, PC, linux and chromebook.
Technically this is a chrome packaged app that uses Dart/Polymer/Material design. The applications uses the chrome.power API (requestKeepAwake). How the system settings are modified to prevent sleep for either display or system is implemented by Chrome for the various platforms its support (Windows, Mac, Linux). The application itself is not aware of the implementation delails and restores the previous system status (releaseKeepAwake) when stopped (and on exit)
