A Chrome extension to add a right-click option to use text highlighted to visit a template url that you create from the options page
Quick Search Menu Extension
Summary
Do you highlight, copy and paste into a search bar often? Sure you do! With a little help from Quick Search Menu you can configure multiple \"quick search\" templates from the extension options page, which will then become available as right click options.
For example, say I wanted to search Google for the some text I've highlighted. I would click on the Quick Search Menu icon from my browser window and create a new Search Item template. Give it a name and a URL.
Anywhere in the provided URL text you can place a special \"$TEXT\" keyword which will be replaced with your highlighted text. (note: no quotes around $TEXT)
After adding the search item, we can highlight any text on a chrome browser page, right click on the Quick Search Menu item to open a new tab to the provided URL. Magic!
