Web Dev Kit Extension

Every browser window can of course be minimized, maximized and restored down to its previous size. Web Dev Kit augments those native options with two more (so far): dock in either the left or right half of the screen (I intend to expand these options soon). Great for web development or coding along to tutorials!

Just click the icon to open the menu and then click the left or right arrow!

Currently there are no options and no special permissions are required.

Promotional art includes laptop image (minus screen image and shadow) and Stout Scarab image by Pixabay users janjf93 and Mark Thomas, respectively. All other elements either public domain or original.

How to download and manually install Web Dev Kit extension for Chrome

Step 1: Download the Web Dev Kit Extension by clicking the "Download CRX" button on the website.

Look for the Web Dev Kit extension you wish to install. Go to the website and download the Web Dev Kit extension package, which is usually a .CRX file and comes in a zipped file. Here ".crx" file is the format for Web Dev Kit extension that contains all the data.

Step 2: Extract &Arrange Files

Once the file is downloaded, extract that file into its own folder. Similarly, give that extension files a permanent home. In other words, keep it in a folder that you don't accidentally delete it because these files will be needed to make that extension work.

Step 3: Go to the Chrome Extensions Page

Open Google Chrome and in the address bar, type chrome://extensions; it will open the Google Chrome extensions page. Make sure that "My extensions" is selected in the sidebar.
