Brian James (ID: 000000841ca23f68) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 12/23/2016 Happy with this and it works reliably for me. There are 2 small caveats: Addons like 'Https Everywhere' can end up competing with this to redirect links; I reliably got errors (and Smile Helper didn't work) until I uninstalled Https Everywhere. Issue two is that if you have saved off a shortcut to a file, or click a link in a document, you will end up on exactly that address - not the smile version of it. The other extension I'm aware of, "Smile Always", behaves differently - links from documents do get converted to the smile version, for example. I would prefer that both addons listed that sort of behavior as intentional or not.
