As a user of HYPE you can add new insights, trends and technologies to the system to provide others with information that is relevant to your company.
A common source for such content are articles you find on other websites and that you want to transfer into the system verbatim.
The HYPE Web Clipper allows you to easily do this as you are browsing the Web, without a need to create a new object in the system first and then manually copying and pasting the text over. Instead you can perform this task with a few clicks right from the page you want to capture.
SETUP
After installing the extension you will first be guided through connecting it with your HYPE system. It's as simple as going to your system, logging in and then clicking the extension icon in your browser bar (which shows a pair of scissors). This will show you a dialog with a \"Connect\" button. Clicking this button will tie the extension to this system and your user account. After this initial setup step you're good to go and can use the extension on any website.
CAPTURING CONTENT
To capture content you open a page that you want to transfer to the HYPE system. Clicking the extension icon in your browser bar will open up a dialog which contains the information that the extension could glean from the page: The title, a main picture and a longer text (for example the main text of the article; used as the description of the object). In this dialog you can make some adjustments to the title, image and description text before clicking on \"Clip\". This will submit the content to your HYPE system as an object where other users can then see it. A confirmation dialog will pop up. From this dialog you can either follow a link leading to the object that was just created or close the dialog to continue browsing the Web and potentially capturing more content.
