Rachel Grenier (ID: 000000d1419e750b) Voted 2 ★ - Updated 02/02/2022 The History feature is a good concept, with great potential to be a real asset and bankable feature separating this product from the rest of the pack, giving it a bit of an edge, making it stand out or elevate this above similar options... potentially, with some adjustments/ improvements/ updates/ fixes to the general functionality of the overall program. The biggest hinderance I see affecting the star power of this program -- and the main reason, after having tested the app for a bit and finding it difficult to adjust to or get past this issue, thus, primarily * why * I am likely to soon * uninstall * this extension shortly after publishing this comment only an hour or so after first installing/ adding it -- the issue being how the text compiles in the the Result box. It cuts off the line of text after momentary pauses, really brief and fleeting, literally less than half a second, faster than how long it takes to take even a quick breath between words while speaking. I do understand the benefit intended by this, and it's a good consideration for such a program, it just is not executed well, or maybe, rather, it executes * TOO * well. Either way, it's problematic. Without the useful History feature the sentence quick cutoff issue would damage my opinion and consideration towards this product altogether. Without the saving grace of the History feature, the irritating and functionally flawed Results produced would be entirely worthless and beyond hope for reworking fixes for potential future product redemption. The problem, I think, I don't know for sure for this very reason though, so I'm just guessing, the problem with the issue I have with how the text cuts off in the Results box may be in the actual error or bug in the code that rendered the Settings option unresponsive and nonexistent. There was no Settings to access or adjust, just the label Settings that was merely decorative. I had hoped that in the Settings, there may have been a option or some way to adjust the cut off timing. That would be sooooooooooooo so so so very useful and awesome. As it works now, it's too impractical to copy and paste a 5, 10, 20 boxes for a single sentence of dictation -- a single sentence. It was so irritating I didn't even dare try to use this for a full paragraph, let alone a page or an entire report or project or assignment, as I felt it failed being practical or useful in putting together even just a few sentences, and took way too much time going through so much History saves to copy and paste them one at a time, so many cut off with barely a single word per saved Result, it took LONGER and MORE WORK to copy and paste the text from using this app than to have just typed it out myself instead. They are fixable issues. It's not beyond redemption. If it worked, or, like I said above, if there was a way built into the Settings to adjust the cut off sensitivity or timing, And IF Settings Existed to Access AT ALL, this *could be* a *really* great app. Hence, the 2 stars. Fix stuff so I can fix the rating. Please, and Thank You.
