Install the Extension:
Download and install the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Access the Extension:
Click the puzzle piece icon in the Chrome menu bar to find Genea Ancestry AutoBlur. For frequent use, pin the icon to the Chrome menu bar by clicking the pushpin icon next to the extension name.
Activate Blurring:
By default, blurring is off. Click the Genea Ancestry AutoBlur icon to activate the blurring effect. When active, a red border will appear around the extension icon, and the \"ab\" text in the icon will look blurred. Sensitive items on Ancestry pages will now be blurred.
Disable Blurring:
Click the extension icon again to disable the blurring effect. The red border will disappear, and the \"ab\" icon text will become clear. Reload the page to remove the blurring effect.
Blur DNA match profile photos:
If you would like to blur the photo's of your DNA matches as well, right click on the extension in the Chrome menu bar and select \"Options\". In the options menu click on the checkbox next to \"Blur Profile Images\" and then click on \"Save\". The profile photos of your DNA matches will now be blurred.
