QuickBlock Extension

QuickBlock is made up of two content blockers (an image blocker and a script blocker) that can be turned on and off separately. Each content blocker internally uses your browser's built-in content blocker that targets the same content type to block contents efficiently. For example, if you turn on the image blocker, it temporarily takes control of the built-in image blocker to block images for all websites. And if you turn it off, the built-in image blocker is restored to its original settings.

You can turn content blockers on and off using:

- toolbar icon
- keyboard shortcut

For more information, see \"QuickBlock User Guide\" (click \"Website\" on the right side of this page).

Pat MySecret (ID: 0000000f565a0b8a) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 12/19/2022 Toggles on/off and you can create settings for image vs scripts. Blocks javascript which can break some sites.. just toggle off. leaves image outline, blocks some icons , grays out video area. I'm seeing some previews. This is the only filter extension I've seen that is quite as encompassing including the javaScripts.

I am browsing this website: and it has the most ANNOYING animated flying bat script running that even block element extension couldn't get rid of. This addon works great and doesn't block all images on chrome that other guy is wrong. I'm happy I tried this out that you for restoring my sanity. I mean wth is that site doing using that code, it's not 1990 any more *rolls eyes*

Simon Heiss (ID: 000000b95f767f74) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 11/18/2020 Does what it should, does not download images for websites. Ux is a little dated, but there is also nothing to really understand ^^

leopardabsurdity (ID: 000000396f76af3e) Voted 5 ★ - Updated 12/29/2019 I was mainly after not having ads and do distracting things. And site scrolling/switching. Tried a whole bunch of these blockers. Other ones failed to block ads while blocking pictures, others put a fuzzy screen over, through which you could still see distracting changes/movements-ad if that wasn't bad enough the color of the screen changes when the contents it was covering changed! I like that it gives me a choice of images, scripts, plug ins to block. I do have to refresh the site once I change my choice. I like the hot keys too.

Anton Zhuchkov (fireton) (ID: 0000008967bae957) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 03/14/2019 Блокирует отлично. Но очень мешает неотключаемый перехват Ctrl+B, который мешает пользоваться Google Docs.
