Window Session Extension

If you often have many windows open and you wish you could close some of them without losing any of their tabs, you've found the right extension.

Each window can be saved as a separate session, any change to the tabs will be saved automatically, so that you can close any window at any time, and re-open it back with just 2 clicks.

Sessions can be renamed and removed.

If the current window is a saved session a counter displaying the number of opened tabs in it will be shown.

Xalomon (ID: 000000fce49f3da0) Voted 1 ★ - Updated 04/25/2022 If you close a window with many tabs and use Recently Closed to restore it everything is fine. If you save it with Window Session and try to restore it, all tabs are loaded on the browser at once making it hang if they're too many, making the whole system irresponsible, and the extension useless when compared to the Recently Closed mechanism native of Chrome.

G (ID: 0000001e5d9887fc) Voted 5 ★ - Updated 05/10/2021 I love this extension! I'm one of those clutter brains that doesn't complete tasks so ends up with multiple profiles each with multiple windows all containing numerous tabs. No lie I probably have around 500 active tabs >_> Profiles and tab groups have help a lot but the window management part was missing. This extension deals with that super cleanly. I was using Session Buddy but found it too clunky for regular use. It would be nice to see its advanced features implemented in this extension though (autosave windows in case you forget (but keep them hidden from the main list) & exports/imports). Also not sure if this sync to your profile in case you reinstall/move Chrome.
