No History Extension

This extension stops Chrome from recording your browsing history in 'standard' mode. You no longer need to be incognito.

This is a feature in Firefox that many people feel is missing in Chrome. Google will no doubt add this functionality at some stage. Until they do, you can use the No History extension!

One good feature is the ability to 'toggle' the extension on and off.

It's very simple and only took me a couple of hours to put together at a friends request.

----

For those saying this extension isn't working watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bfeyE4ZseU and then file a bug telling me how it's working differently for you. I can't fix any bug I can't replicate.

I totally forgot about this extension until Google emailed me saying I need to update the manifest. It's amazing that people are actually using it - you're awesome!!

This really was an extension I made in literally an hour the week before Christmas a few years ago. I'll read through your reviews and try and implement the white/black list you've asked for shortly.

Thanks again!

Jennifer Gray (ID: 00000093119260e5) Voted 2 ★ - Updated 09/05/2022 On websites/webapps that use a certain front-end framework (like Google Calendar and Home Assistant), closing dialog boxes can cause the extension to also trigger a browser "back" action, resulting in not only the dialog box closing (as intended), but also going back an additional state/page in the webapp. I thought this was a chrome issue for a very long time and only recently discovered it's because of this addon.

Lucas Huang (ID: 0000008cfef5328c) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 08/12/2022 I've been using this extension for a while now and it does a pretty good job at automatically removing my browsing history. However, every once in a while a history entry manages to slip through and not get removed, but still, great extension. This extension does have a bug with some Google services like Google Forms and Google Calendar, causing them to refresh or go back, but it works perfectly with most websites.
