Close Tab Extension

Close Tab lets you close a web page in a snap with a right mouse click and a key press. This is often quicker than moving the mouse cursor up to the tab's close icon or taking your hand off the mouse to use a keyboard shortcut that requires both hands.

The shortcut key that closes the tab is customizable.

Thomas G. Hogan (ID: 00000090bab96cad) Voted 3 ★ - Updated 05/03/2023 'No options for OS X systems' This extension only works halfway on my MacBook (2020, Intel); instead of allowing one to close a tab via 'right click and a button press' (in which the button can be customized, it only adds 'close tab' to the context menu. When I open the 'Options' setting, it brings up the dialog box "No options for OS X systems". Developer - your work is appreciated and I really hope you see this and can enable the 'right click and button' option for a smooth workflow. It's a great idea, one I can't find anywhere else. Please fix this functionality as well as add a 'buy me a cup of coffee...' to the Chrome Web Store extension description as I'd love to pay for what I 'd be using.

Sven Arnold (ID: 00000046fcd5b57f) Voted 5 ★ - Updated 11/21/2022 It does one thing and it does it well. You right-click, the context menu opens at the tip of your mouse cursor like normal, except now there's an easily recognizable red icon in the list to close the current tab. Intuitive, no nonsense.

Joan G (ID: 0000005faf7d5bad) Voted 5 ★ - Updated 12/15/2021 Exactly what I wanted! Puts the 'close tab' where your cursor is (w/right click). What I was already used to in a couple other browser brands.
