Jacob Arnould (ID: 000000501c44d31e) Voted 2 ★ - Updated 12/02/2022 Great extension... but there's an authentication bug that's causing a big data privacy concern. If data privacy matters to you, I do not recommend downloading this extension until the bug is fixed. The extension only works if the permission "Allow this extension to read and change all your data on websites you visit" is set to "On all websites". If you try setting the permission to "On click" instead of "On all websites", the extension breaks. Specifically, the extension isn't able to authenticate into my Crunchbase account, and instead, I receive an error saying "Oops! There was a problem!". While I trust that Crunchbase has no malicious intent, this is seriously a bad bug. A person could think that this bug is actually implemented on purpose so that Crunchbase can harvest user browser data by forcing users to constantly run the extension in the background on every single site a user visits. I'm happy to update my rating once the bug is fixed. To help the dev team, here are some of the errors from the console: iframe-wrapper.js:formatted:46 Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://www.crunchbase.com') does not match the recipient window's origin 2022-12-02T23:15:08.145Z ExceptionService - Unhandled Exception: Metadata bootstrap failure {"statusCode":0,"statusText":"TypeError: Failed to fetch","offline":true,"errors":,"originalError":null,"headers":{"normalizedNames":{},"lazyUpdate":null,"headers":{}},"message":"Http failure response for /v4/md/applications/crunchbase: 0 TypeError: Failed to fetch"} Error: Metadata bootstrap failure {"statusCode":0,"statusText":"TypeError: Failed to fetch","offline":true,"errors":,"originalError":null,"headers":{"normalizedNames":{},"lazyUpdate":null,"headers":{}},"message":"Http failure response for /v4/md/applications/crunchbase: 0 TypeError: Failed to fetch"}

Rák Miklós Márk (ID: 000000d58de894a9) Voted 4 ★ - Updated 03/25/2022 Great tool which speeds up the prospecting process! An on/off toggle would be nice somewhere because users may not want this hanging around in Chrome all the time, only when they are doing a specific prospecting task.
