I cannot get a mission to start. The game crashes on the loading screen after I push the mission 1 button. I am using an iPad Pro 9.7 inch. I put graphics to simple and made sure all additional graphics settings were turn off (including dynamic shadows). The same result. Its too bad. I was looking forward to playing this game! + + 9/26 The last update did not seem to change anything. However, I deleted the game and reinstalled it and it works fine now. The game mechanics are a little funky. Switching from one character to another typically frustrates me as I try to move one after the other. The turn for the aliens takes a really long time to respond (we’re not talking minutes, just more seconds then are comfortable to sit and stare at the screen). Also, the only character with a sword is way to fragile. Seeing as she has to be up close to attack, her armor and hp should be stacked. A tank if you will. But Each time I play the first mission, she dies the moment she goes in to fight, getting killed in one hit each time. Perhaps it’s just been bad luck every time, but it makes me just want to keep her out if the fight since she can’t do anything other than fight up close. The dynamics of all other characters are great though and overall, I’ve been enjoying the game a lot.
Good, not Great

I’m a big fan of Wavelight Games and I own and have played all of their games on mobile (Demon’s Rise 2 is the best imo). When I saw this game I was really excited, but after I played it I was let down. It’s fun but I liked their earlier games more. Here are my main issues: + + 1. More level selection. Other games Wavelight has made have had a 30+ level main campaign and 20+ side missions. This game only has a 12 mission campaign. + + 2. Team selection. I really enjoyed mixing and matching characters in pervious games, and having a team assigned to you just feels bad. + + 3. Ability redundancy. A lot of characters share the same abilities. This wasn’t a problem in previous games because there were so many characters to choose from. However, this game has only 6, so this problem is more pronounced. + + 4. I know this is a small gripe, but what happened to the hexagons? The square grid feels awkward and clunky. + + That being said, there are improvements in this game over previous Wavelight games too. The UI is improved and the characters that are in the game (I wish there were more!) are very well designed - better than in previous Wavelight games. + + Overall, this is a good, not great game. I really love Wavelight, but I feel this is their weakest title. I really enjoy the sci-fi setting, and with some improvements this game could be great too. You guys are incredible developers, and I have faith that you will make this game better. For now, I feel it is only worthy of 3 stars, but if there are updates I will adjust my rating.
Another hit

Loved Hydra Strike Team and this one is even better. Good job to the developers.
Awesome game. It’s bite sized WaveLight.

First of all, if you haven’t played Shieldwall Chronicles, or any other WaveLight games, you’re missing out on some deep, long tactical RPG games. This is much smaller game, but I enjoyed it nonetheless less. + + I see a lot of people complaining about crashes, but I’m on an iPhone 11 and an iPad Mini 5 and it cruises along crash free for me. + + Anyway, but this game for me if nothing else, so the Dev can make enough money to do a sequel to Shieldwall.
Still doesn’t work after update.

Patch doesn’t fix the issue, and dynamic shadows are no longer an option in the graphics menu.
