I don’t like how the shifts aren’t automatic excepted smh it’s like playing with your time
Scam
By DragonfromtheWest
It took me over a whole entire week to upload all of my documents because they left on pending until I contacted them and asked them what was going on and then they would go in manually and each time with my ID because it wasn’t valid apparently the same thing am I seeing a license so every single document I had would just automatically say it wasn’t valid and I would have to contact them to get it valided. + After I got set up, I noticed that my shifts that I requested were stuck on requested and then I had to contact the support and ask why that was and they told me I had to call the facility myself to get the shift accepted. + Literally, why would I even do that if I’m using the app to let them know I want the shift why do I have to call them as well?! + Such a big joke and waste of time, wasted a whole week trying to get set up to realize that it was a scam.
FAV NURSING APP BY FAR⭐️
By KYCNA
As a CNA, I’ve tried a few different staffing apps, but Nursa is by far my favorite. The interface is super clean, easy to use, and I love how straightforward the booking process is. + + One of the best things about Nursa is the support team. Anytime I’ve had a question or an issue, their reps have been quick to respond and super helpful. They actually communicate and get things resolved fast, which makes such a difference when you’re relying on an agency for work. + + That being said, there are a few things that could make the app even better: + + 1. More accurate shift filtering: The app does have filters for licensure and location, but for some reason, shifts still show up that don’t match my profile. I’ll see and be suggested openings for RNs, LPNs, or even facilities in states I’m not licensed in. It would be so much easier if the app only showed shifts that I’m actually eligible for, instead of having to scroll through ones that aren’t even an option. + + 2. Better calendar functionality: I love that we can see our confirmed shifts and requests on the calendar tab—it makes it so much easier to keep track of my schedule. I also like that we can filter shifts by days of the week, but the issue is that it shows shifts that are weeks out instead of just the upcoming ones. It makes it easy to accidentally book something further ahead than intended if we’re not paying attention. It would be so much more convenient if we could click on a specific date and only see shifts for that day, rather than having to go between the shift and schedule tabs. + + 3. Shift request expiration settings: This is a big one for me. I work night shift, and if I pick I pick up a shift at 6 or 7 p.m., I have to plan my sleep and schoolwork around it. On top of that, I have to drive my dogs an hour away to my mom’s so they can be watched overnight, then drive anywhere from 1-2 hours to the facility. After my shift, I have to make that 1-2 hour drive back to pick up my animals drive another hour home. If I don’t get enough notice, I can very easily be awake for 24+ hours straight, driving dangerously tired just to make it all work. + + The reality is that people in our field already operate on little sleep, and last-minute scheduling just makes it worse. But beyond just our own exhaustion, there’s also the bigger issue of patient care. When we’re running on empty, it’s the residents who suffer. Being overtired makes it harder to provide the level of care they deserve, and mistakes are more likely to happen. If we had the option to set expiration times on our shift requests—like having them automatically cancel after a few days or within a set window before the shift (12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, etc.)—it would help us set boundaries and ensure we’re getting adequate notice so we can prepare accordingly. + + This would be a huge benefit, not just for agency workers but for facilities too. Agency staff already have a reputation for being lazy (which, yes, some people take advantage of the flexibility), but for a lot of us, we’re just worn thin. Features like this could help prevent burnout and make scheduling smoother for everyone involved. Plus, facilities would have more incentive to book shifts in a reasonable time frame rather than relying on last-minute coverage, reducing the need for urgent shift rates. + + Overall, I really love using Nursa and recommend it to any healthcare professional looking for flexibility. If they made a few tweaks, it would be even better!
