Paid via the app but got fined anyway

By Cincytraveller

It is now 2 weeks since I submitted screen shots to Parka from their app showing that I paid for parking (with their own transaction number and the car’s license plate number) and have not heard anything back about an inappropriate parking fine that also triggered an extra charge from a car rental company. The whole point of the app is to pay for parking. This is a clear failure of the app and, so far, of Parka’s customer service.

Garbage App

Worthless fail of an app. Get your s* together. Works half the time.

Poor design

Can’t add a card from Apple Pay, app doesn’t locate you, have to drag car to parking spot in a place you don’t know, wouldn’t take our credit card.

Lower expectations equals an easy life.

I don’t know what kind folks have a hard time with this app. Prices are standard per zone… autofill doesn’t always work, big deal. This app lets you check-in when it’s free then auto starts billing when parking fees start. Also, the map has all zones color coded. This lets you see if another zone is around the corner. It’s been super convenient for me throughout multiple stays in Reykjavik.

Worst parking app ever

By MrGoodner

This is a parking app. For parking in the middle of nowhere in Iceland. Why do I need to register to pay for parking? And you send a code to my email before I can pay? I don’t use email on cellular on a roaming data plan. Terrible. Then their verification of credit card step fails. So I can’t pay anyway and they charge the rental car company and I get fined. They don’t answer support inquiries either. Worst parking app ever. Hopefully the machines at the lots aren’t broken when you visit a site, the only reason we used this and got burned anyway.
