Overview
Key Vault Explorer — an open source cross-platform GUI desktop application designed for managing secrets, keys, and certificates stored in Azure Key Vault. This tool aggregates information by subscription and resource group, providing a streamlined interface for users to interact with their Azure Key Vault data. Please note that this is an unofficial client and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.
Key Features:
- Microsoft Account Integration: Secure sign-in and credential management.
- Customizable Resource Display: Selectively include/exclude subscriptions and resource groups.
- Advanced Filtering & Sorting: Filter and subscriptions, resource groups, and key vaults items by name.
- Quick Access: Pin frequently used vaults and save selected subscriptions.
- Clipboard Management: Copy secrets to clipboard with automatic clearing (configurable up to 60 seconds).
- Detailed Information: View details, tags, last updates, and expiration dates of secrets.
- File Management: Download and save .pfx and .cer files.
- Editing secret values, creating new values and creating new versions (tags will be copied from old versions).
Privacy & Security:
- No Telemetry: No data or usage logs collected.
- Encrypted Storage: SQLite database encryption using DPAPI on Windows and KeyChain on macOS.
- Secure Authentication: Utilizes Microsoft.Identity.Client.Extensions.Msal for encrypted credential storage.
- Visual: Dark mode and light mode
