QuickTxt is a UWP alternative to Notepad. If you are looking for a simple, fast text editor this is for you. No projects, no rich text, no libraries, no cloud, just speed and simplicity. QuickTxt looks like, and works like, what Notepad should on a modern version of Windows.
The aim of this app is to have, at the minimum, feature parity with Notepad where possible. Currently, Notepad will have the advantage in the size of files it can open, and access to files in system locations, and printing support.
Quicktxt on the other hand has an advantage in that it will run on ARM[64] versions of Windows, XBOX, etc. It also has a "Fit to Text" function on the Desktop where you an automatically resize the Window to the content size. It has light and dark theme support. It allows you to fully customize the encoding and newline chars, something notepad only gives limited support to.
QuickTxt supports reading US-ASCII, UTF7, UTF8, UTF16LE/BE, UTF32LE/BE and on desktop only legacy code pages as available on traditional .NET applications. It supports the 3 main newline chars - Windows, Linux including macOS and legacy Mac OS.
