Overview
Recordscript lets you generate subtitle while screen recording, or from your video/audio files.
Free, open-source, and works offline.
**Use cases**
1. Get meeting transcription with timestamp
- Join your online meeting
- Open Recordscript, click on "Screen Record" tab
- Record screen + Enable Subtitle
- You can set up Email Delivery as well if you want the transcript to be delivered by email
2. Generate subtitle for videos or movies to watch
- Open Recordscript, click on "File Transcription" tab
- Choose your audio or video file to transcribe and the language
- Check "Translate to English" if the video is in another language, and you want English subtitle
- Click "Generate Subtitle"
** AI Models **
There are several downloadable Whisper-based models available for the subtitling or transcription process, thanks to Whisper.cpp
You can also generate English subtitle from video or audio file in different language (yes, we support Translation!).
There's also a model that supports speech diarization, which means the subtitle generated has a marker of a speaker's turn.
