Overview
fre:ac is a free and open source audio converter and CD ripper that comes with an integrated tag editor and supports various audio file formats.
Use fre:ac to easily convert audio files to different formats or rip audio CDs to FLAC or MP3 files for use with a mobile player or smartphone. fre:ac can even convert whole music libraries while retaining the folder and filename structure.
The CD ripper supports the CDDB/freedb online CD database. It will automatically query song information and write it to title information tags.

What's new
This release adds a tool for splitting the output into multiple files based on various parameters like duration, number of files or metadata.
The update also adds support for dithering, a matrix surround decoder and a volume adjustment filter and includes various minor improvements and fixes for issues found in earlier versions.
