This is a tool that analyzes video files and generates individual subtitle files from closed caption data.
CCExtractor currently handles:
- DVDs.
- Most HDTV captures (where transport streams are saved).
- Capture subtitles recorded in bttv format. The number of cards using this card is huge. My test sample is from a Hauppage PVR-250. You can view the full list here.
