Overview
Please note that although this application is fully functional, it is a trial version and has a few limitations as detailed below.*
WorldClock is a Windows desktop application that includes time zone, time sync, calendar, alarm. and desktop wallpaper management features. In addition to its core functionality, the desktop wallpaper feature is probably its most popular feature. This allows you to generate a wallpaper image that either overlays addition information panels over your selected wallpaper, or generate a world map with the same information panels overlaid. This additional information is presented in a number of panels, all of which are optional. If you elect to use the world map wallpaper, you can also display the current local date/time for many locations in the world simply by selecting your preferred locations from a list; this list includes all of the world's largest cities as well as many smaller cities. The time zone information is provided by the IANA Time Zone Database. This database updates regularly to reflect any changes in time zone and daylight savings time rules for all locations supported by WorldClock. The information panels are specific to your location and include: Local date/time, weather, calendar, and sun/moon information.
Other miscellaneous features include: Time-sync, alarms, a calendar view, and a multiple-clock view.
WorldClock supports multi-monitor systems as well as high-resolution monitors.
*Note this trial version has the following limitations:
- A "Trial Version" message will overlay the map display and the weather display
- The number of selected locations is limited to a maximum of 4 (the full version has a limit of 32)
- Although the time-sync function operates normally and will report the accuracy of your computer's time, it will not actually sync your time
